This painting features Magdalena Ventura from Abruzzi (a woman with prominent hirsutism) with her husband and a newborn baby. La Mujer Barbuda was commissioned in 1631 by the Duke of Alcalá -the viceroy of Naples.

D3 had some mild conjunctivitis this morning. You can’t really tell by the pictures, but she had nasty green drainage and some mild redness especially to her right eye. She is still very adorable! Also, D3′s left lateral incisor just came in within the last couple of days.
