Happy New Year to everyone on the interwebz!

We are having no wild New Year’s bash since I have to work, and we are too boring for that kind of thing anyway! I do need to start preparing for the second semester of organic chemistry which looks wicked hard just from a glance of my book (I bought my organic books in two different volumes because I was too broke to buy the entire book at the beginning of the fall semester). I have one more week until school starts again. All of my textbooks have arrived for this upcoming semester except for one. I hope that it gets here this week so that I can have it read by the start of class (history book…should be an easy and fun read).

I’m loving not going to school at the moment. But, maybe that is because I am getting caught up on some major MCAT studying. I have been reviewing molecular biology and genetics for the last several days. There are 84 days before my test date, and I am freaked out.

The kids are doing fine. They all got to visit their great grandma at the nursing home yesterday, and the nursing home residents loved their company. D1 is really picking up on spelling words such as “train.” D2 got a hair cut and looks handsome. D3 keeps taking off her diaper, and I am so ready for her to be potty trained. But then I think of how weird it will be with no one in the family wearing diapers. It seems too easy of a life.

Christmas is ova. The kids had a great time and are totally spoiled rotten. Great grandma moved to our state so we will be seeing lots of her from now on which is wonderful! My sister and her husband made it back safely to their home and are in the process of moving to a place closer to campus before the new year. My brother had a good Christmas in Taiwan, and I guess, tied a Christmas tree onto his bike.

I made these Christmas cake pops for the case management/social worker Christmas party tomorrow. It will be interesting to see who takes a bite out of one of these! I better bring something store bought. People are always suspicious that I make things out of breast milk, lol!!!!!!

Edit: Missed the party by an entire 48 hours since it was on Tuesday not Thursday. I could have saved myself a lot of grief, lol! Cake pops are a pain to make. At least I ended up not having to rush around today.
